EVE Energy 2nd Commercial Vehicle Battery Technology Day Launches Open-source Battery 4.0 AI Battery

On May 9, 2026, EVE Energy successfully held its 2nd Commercial Vehicle Battery Technology Day in Huizhou. This year’s event, themed “Winning: Building a World of Co-created Value with AI Battery,” focused on AI battery technology for commercial vehicles and unveiled the Open-source Battery 4.0: AI Battery products along with the open-source battery brand identity. The event gathered leaders, experts, industry partners, and media representatives from the new energy commercial vehicle sector to explore the intelligent future of commercial vehicle batteries.
Opening Remarks
The event began with a keynote speech by Dr. Liu Jincheng, Founder and Chairman of EVE Energy. He centered his address around the theme “Winning,” sharing the company’s strategic thinking in the AI era. Dr. Liu emphasized that leveraging EVE Energy’s strong technological foundation and endorsement from top global clients will allow AI and energy technologies to grow symbiotically, ushering in a new era of AI-driven energy.
Launch of the Open-source Battery Brand Identity
Dr. Jiang Jibing, Vice President of EVE Energy and President of the Commercial Vehicle Battery Product Line, first introduced the brand philosophy of “Open-source Battery.” He explained that the brand draws inspiration from open-source code, with a logo symbolizing sustainability, value co-creation, mutual benefit, and long-term collaboration. The brand also embodies EVE Energy’s corporate vision: to energize the world with progress through open-source batteries.
Following this, two new open-source battery system products were unveiled. Their designs feature an integrated and faceted aesthetic that balances functional and technological beauty and are adaptable to different heavy truck models. Dr. Jiang highlighted that Open-source Battery aims to redefine the value of global commercial vehicle transportation and will collaborate with industry partners to create shared value and empower users.
Technological Upgradation is Inevitable
Dr. Huang Hongliang, General Manager of Domestic Sales for EVE Energy’s Commercial Vehicle Battery Product Line, delivered a keynote on market trends in new energy commercial vehicles. He identified three main challenges in the sector: complex operational scenarios, high energy consumption, and unclear value returns, which current commercial vehicle batteries struggle to address. He stressed that intelligence is the core driver of high-quality industry development, making technological upgradation of commercial vehicle batteries essential.
Launch of Open-source Battery 4.0: AI Battery
In the highlight of the event, Dr. Jiang Jibing provided a comprehensive introduction to the Open-source Battery 4.0: AI Battery, a forward-looking technology and product solution. Defined by “Full Perception, Deep Thinking, and Self-evolution,” the AI Battery evolves from an “Energy Lifeform” to an “Energy Intelligent Agent,” covering all commercial vehicle scenarios and representing the optimal solution for new energy commercial vehicle batteries.
- Full Perception: Leveraging AI battery chips, internal sensors, and wireless transmission, the battery continuously monitors internal conditions, coordinating with the vehicle, cloud, and user needs to create multi-dimensional perception capabilities.
- Deep Thinking: Cloud-based AI models enable deep analytical capabilities, providing precise dynamic range assessment and building an Energy Map to customize the optimal plan for each trip.
- Self-evolution: Cloud models continuously learn driving habits and route conditions, optimizing power strategies in real time, proactively alerting, and correcting potential risks and faults, thus improving operational efficiency.
The AI Battery, based on these three capabilities, enhances operational revenue and residual battery value, reduces first-time purchase and operational costs, and breaks through traditional commercial battery economic boundaries. With three core functions—Adaptive, Self-diagnosing, and Self-repairing—it achieves “zero faults,” 100% precise control, and optimal route planning, elevating user satisfaction.
The event featured one AI Battery cell and two system products. The LM815 cell boasts an 815Ah ultra-large capacity with integrated pressure, temperature, and EIS intelligent sensing, reflecting “Big Battery, Big Intelligence.” The LM815-605kWh and LM815-640kWh systems for rear and underbody configurations are one ton lighter than comparable products and achieve >90% energy retention at -30°C without heating, <2% SOC error across all regions, and >99% fault prediction accuracy.
Collaboration for High-Quality Development
Dong Yang, Chairman of the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, attended and delivered a speech. To embody the “co-win” philosophy of Open-source Battery and promote the rollout and iteration of AI Battery, several partner companies and five transportation users were invited as the “first batch of value co-creation partners” and “first batch of special experience officers.” Simultaneously, the “2026 New Energy Commercial Vehicle High-Quality Development Forum” was held to foster open collaboration, build a shared value community, discuss industry opportunities, and drive sustainable development of advanced commercial vehicle battery technologies.
The 2nd Commercial Vehicle Battery Technology Day positioned AI Battery as a bridge for value co-creation, advancing commercial vehicle batteries from technological enhancement to ecosystem building.
