Sunwoda Showcases Full-Scenario Intelligent Energy Storage Capabilities at SNEC 2026
2026-06-06 | Eric

On June 5, SNEC 2026 concluded successfully in Shanghai. Under the theme "Empowering Intelligent Energy Storage with Core Cell Excellence", Sunwoda presented its latest achievements under the “AI + Battery” strategy, a comprehensive portfolio of energy storage battery cells, and next-generation energy storage system solutions. Among the highlights, the NoahX 6.26MWh Liquid-Cooling Energy Storage System, powered by Sunwoda’s self-developed 588Ah battery cells, attracted significant attention from visitors and industry professionals.
AI-Powered R&D and Manufacturing: Building High-Performance Battery Cells for the New Energy Era
The “AI + Battery” initiative, proposed by Sunwoda Founder Wang Mingwang, represents one of the company’s core strategic directions for the future development of the energy industry.
Guided by this strategy, Sunwoda continues to build a value-driven ecosystem spanning technology innovation and industrial application:
- Transforming R&D and manufacturing from experience-based operations to data-driven decision-making, leveraging AI to manage the entire battery lifecycle.
- Expanding technological capabilities from isolated applications to cross-scenario collaboration, enabling technology sharing and data feedback among consumer batteries, EV batteries, and energy storage batteries.
- Advancing industrial value creation from product co-development to ecosystem co-prosperity through intelligent O&M, lifecycle management, and supply chain collaboration, unlocking long-term battery value.
As the energy storage industry continues to evolve toward higher safety standards, larger capacities, and greater reliability, Sunwoda is accelerating the digital transformation of its R&D, manufacturing, and quality management systems. Leveraging AI technologies for material screening, cell structure optimization, and digital twin simulation, the company enhances both design efficiency and product reliability. On the manufacturing side, AI-enabled real-time monitoring of thousands of production control points supports PPB-level quality management, ensuring consistency and stability in large-scale production of high-capacity battery cells.
As a key embodiment of the “AI + Battery” strategy, Sunwoda showcased its self-developed energy storage battery portfolio at the exhibition, including 72Ah, 85Ah, 102Ah, 280Ah, 314Ah, 588Ah, and 684Ah cells, covering a wide range of applications such as residential energy storage, AI data centers (AIDC), commercial and industrial energy storage, and utility-scale energy storage.
High-Capacity Energy Storage Cells in the Spotlight
- 588Ah Wound Cell: Featuring an innovative low lithium-loss design, this cell delivers high safety, long cycle life, and excellent stability. It officially entered mass production in May 2026 and serves as a key enabler for next-generation highly integrated energy storage systems.
- 684Ah Stacked Cell: Leveraging Sunwoda’s proprietary stacking technology, this product achieved large-scale mass production ahead of the market. By April 2026, cumulative deliveries had exceeded 2 million units. With a volumetric energy density of over 440Wh/L and a cycle life of up to 10,000 cycles, it is well suited for long-duration energy storage applications.
588Ah Platform Drives System Upgrade: NoahX 6.26MWh Makes Its Debut
Building on continuous breakthroughs in battery cell technology, Sunwoda has further expanded its full-scenario energy storage solution portfolio. The company officially unveiled the next-generation NoahX 6.26MWh Liquid-Cooling Energy Storage System, developed on the foundation of its 588Ah energy storage cell platform.
The system is equipped with Sunwoda’s self-developed 588Ah battery cells and incorporates a high-safety electrolyte and dual-insulation design. Together, these features establish a multi-layer safety protection architecture covering cells, modules, battery clusters, and the complete system. Even under extreme conditions such as nail penetration, overcharging, and thermal runaway events, the system is designed to prevent fire and explosion, further enhancing intrinsic safety.
In terms of performance, the system offers a single-container capacity of 6,261kWh. Compared with the previous-generation 5MWh product, its energy density has increased by 24.8%, while the number of components has been reduced by 40%. Guided by the design philosophy of “fewer containers, simpler cabling,” the system effectively lowers overall complexity and reduces balance-of-plant (BOP) costs.
For utility-scale energy storage projects, the product supports multiple deployment configurations, including back-to-back, side-by-side, and grid-style arrangements. These flexible layouts help reduce the number of required containers and the overall land footprint, lowering both initial capital expenditure and lifecycle operating costs.
During the exhibition, Sunwoda also presented a diverse range of solutions covering grid-scale energy storage, commercial and industrial energy storage, residential energy storage, mobile energy storage, and emergency power supply. These offerings further demonstrated the company’s comprehensive capabilities and practical achievements in full-scenario energy storage applications.
